Call for Submissions
Medallion Medley

Submission Opens May 1 and Closes May 22

We are looking for a medley of medallion quilts with an emphasis on a visually cohesive exhibit representing a broad range of style and technique. Criteria for acceptance will include originality, creativity and your Artist Statement. A medallion can be loosely interpreted to allow for self-expression but in general, it should feature a central motif surrounded by at least one or more borders.

Our display will be limited by space allocated to our group exhibit. We expect our count to be about 25 quilts. Pajaro Valley Quilt Association members may submit up to two newly created or previously made quilts for consideration at no fee. Quilts need to measure larger than 100” perimeter (for example 25 inches square) and there is no maximum size.

Instructions for submittal will be provided via eBlast closer to the May 1- May 22 entry date window. Items required on the form will be the maker, quilt title, dimensions, your declared value (for PIQF insurance purpose), artist description and a photo of the finished quilt.

Final selection will be made by Karen and Anna with the guidelines subject to modification if necessary based on quilts submitted.
