Mickey Beebe’s Quilts: Tradition with a Twist

PVQA’s own Mickey Beebe will present a trunk show of her unique and fabulous quilts. Mickey joined PVQA in 1997, took a skills workshop and never looked back. Since then her quilts have taken numerous show awards, including Pacific International Quilt Fesitval and Road To California. In 2009, her quilt graced the cover of the program for the Internation Quilt Festival in Long Beach. Mickey and her quilts have also been published in Quilter’s Newsletter.

The PVQA meetings are held on the second Monday of every month at:

Social time begins at 6:30 PM and the meeting starts promptly at 7:00 PM.

Next Workshop

Sunday, September 26, 2010 - Challenge Workshop

This workshop will be designed to support people interested in participating in the Quilt challenge, “Every picture tells a story” for PVQA’s 2011 Quilt Fair.  A wide variety of techniques used for making pictures in cloth will be demonstrated.  Participants are encouraged to bring examples of techniques they like to use for pictorial type projects for show and tell.  A $5.00 fee is requested of participants which will be applied to the prizes for the challenge. The workshop will be held in the Community Room at the Santa Cruz Villa Mobile Home Park, 2435 Felt St., Santa Cruz (Live Oak area), from 1 - 4 pm. The Community Room is on the right and there is parking around the building. There is no parking on any of the streets in the mobile home park so if the parking is all taken, please unload your supplies and park outside the park. Click here for directions.
