Joy-Lily shares her exquisite silk quilts with us. Shibori is a Japanese term for several methods of dyeing cloth with a pattern by binding, stitching, folding, twisting, or compressing the fabric.
Coming from a background in graphics, nationally known quilt artist and teacher Johnson will discuss her work and techniques as they have evolved.

Local historical quilt expert, Janet Locey, will help us to take a new look at fabric color and print styles available in the mid 1800s. Accompanying her lecture will be slides and a trunk show of some of Janet’s reproduction quilts.
