Fascinating and eclectic artist, Margaret Fabrizio ranges from Music to Entertainment to Fiber Art, achieving brilliant results in all fields in which she ventures.

Joe Cunningham will introduce Margaret Fabrizio via recorded video, which includes a demonstration of how she makes a kawandi. He will also show us some of her finished quilts and kawandis. This video will run throughout the duration of our Quilt Show.

Joe Cunningham

Joe Cunningham began making quilts professionally in 1979, after a ten-year career as a musician in Michigan. Over the years his quilts have evolved into a unique, personal style. His quilts are in the permanent collections of museums, as well as in numerous private collections. Cunningham’s 11 books on quilts include the 2010 book “Men and the Art of Quiltmaking”.

He has a regular column for the national magazine The Quilt Life and has appeared on many quilting shows on PBS and HGTV.

PVQA Mission

The purpose of the Pajaro Valley Quilt Association (PVQA) is to encourage the art of quilt making which includes acquiring and sharing knowledge of quilt designs and quilt techniques; preserving and continuing the tradition, culture and history of quilting; encouraging quilt making and collecting, sponsoring and supporting quilting activities, including outreach programs, and providing education meetings.
