Medallion Medley
PVQA at PIQF
This year PIQF will be Wednesday, July 24 through Saturday, July 27, 2024.

Entries Close at midnight on Wednesday, May 22.
Entries are time stamped and will not be considered if entered after midnight.

  • Entry Deadline is midnight May 22, 2024. Open to PVQA members ONLY.

  • Notification to all entrants will be sent via email advising whether or not their quilt is accepted. Label and details of drop off and pick up will be included in your email for those chosen.

  • Will be curated by Karen Foster and Anna Brenkwitz. Our display will be limited by space allocated to our group exhibit.

  • We are looking for a medley of medallion quilts with an emphasis on a visually cohesive exhibit representing a broad range of style and technique. A medallion can be loosely interpreted to allow for self expression but in general, it should feature a central motif surrounded by at least one or more borders.  

  • Criteria for acceptance will include originality, creativity and your Artist Statement. 

  • Members may submit up to two newly created or previously made completed quilts for consideration at no fee. 

  • Quilts need to measure larger than 100" perimeter (for example 25"x25") and there is no maximum size.

  • If an entry was created by a group, please select one person to enter the item and include the list of names in the Artist Statement.

NOTE: A declared amount is required by PIQF, so you may provide a "best guess" or estimate. If valued over $1000, an appraisal is required..

A photo of the finished quilt is required for each entry. The photo should be of good quality so a decision can be made about acceptance of the quilt, but does not need to be professionally taken.  The maximum file size for the uploaded image is 15 MB. The file must be in PNG, JPG, BMP or GIF format. If you are unable to submit a photo, please contact Anna or Karen to make other arrangements.

Terms & Conditions

  • I agree to abide by the rules and decisions of the PVQA at PIQF special exhibit curators/coordinators.

  • Insurance is my responsibility.

  • By entering I agree to the Photography/Images Policy for PIQF which grants Mancuso Show Management the right to photograph this exhibit for promotional use of its festivals and Show Management does not restrict public attendees from photographing exhibit quilts.

  • If accepted, I will be responsible for drop off and pick up of my quilt at the arranged date/time/location announced or arrange for a friend to do so on my behalf. It will be clean and odor free with a 4" sleeve and label attached. 

  • I must be a PVQA member in good standing and will have my renewal dues paid before the exhibit.
