General Meeting Information Scheduled Meetings Meetings are now available in a "hybrid" format, both in person and via Zoom. Meetings start at 7 pm unless otherwise noted. Information tables (Name Tag, Library, BOM, and so on) are usually available at 6:30 pm. May 11, 2026 June 8, 2026 July 13, 2026 August 10, 2026 When: Second Monday of every month Start Time: Meeting starts promptly at 7:pm. (For in person meetings, pre-Meeting activities starting at 6:30 pm include information booths, sign-ups for activities, BOM booth, etc.) Location: In person meetings are at Temple Beth El. Activities: Speakers, Show-and-Tell, Guild Business. PVQA holds meetings both in person and via Zoom. This allows us to bring speakers from around the world to our meetings! If you are a non-PVQA member and wish to attend a Virtual General Meeting, please contact the Membership Chair using the Board Contact form on the Membership Page . Small Quilt Groups Small quilt groups continue to meet in 2025. The Small Quilt Groups provide an opportunity to gather with quilt friends and time to quilt. This is another benefit of being a member of PVQA. PVQA is a large organization, and Small Quilt Groups provide a great way to make quilting friends. Some groups meet in person and some via Zoom. If you’re not in a group, consider joining one. We have groups that welcome new members. Use the form below to contact the group coordinator to join. Membership Information Membership in PVQA is open to anyone interested in quilts or quilting. Our Membership year runs from June 1 – May 31. We are a fun group with talents ranging from absolute beginners to award winning professionals. Meet creative people and expand your circle of friends. Membership in our guild comes with many advantages: professional guest speakers at monthly meetings; reduced price workshops given by well known quilting teachers; small interest groups that meet in person or via Zoom; opportunities to quilt with others; Block of the Month and much more. PVQA is an all-volunteer organization. As with all organizations, PVQA can use all the volunteer help it can get. It takes many volunteers to set up and staff our annual Quilt Show. Members are sought each year to serve as Board Members. Take a look at our Community Outreach pages to find out more about how our members work on special projects. Our volunteers are an invaluable resource. If you are interested in volunteering your time, please let us know. Thanks in advance for your help! Quilters for Hospice We are a PVQA outreach group dedicated to the support of Hospice of Santa Cruz County , a non-profit agency providing compassionate end-of-life care and grief support services in our community. Mission The purpose and annual goal of our group is to provide: Quilts for Camp Erin, a grief support camp for children and teens age 6-17 Lap quilts for end-of-life patients A fundraising quilt (raffle or auction) to support HSCC’s community programs Quilts Camp Erin is held each year in early June. Since the demographics are not known until shortly before the camp, cheerful, multi-colored quilts that are of simple design and no particular theme are easiest to distribute. Preferred size is approximately 50”-55” wide x 65”-70” long. Lap quilts for adult Hospice patients may be any design and color, approximately 40” x 50”. We have fabric and kits available, and can provide batting, backing and long-arm quilting. Meetings: Our group meets the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month, from 10:00 until 3:00. Meeting dates and locations are subject to change. Please join our email list to be informed of our activities and RSVP if you plan to attend. Meetings on the 2nd Thursday are held at Aptos Knoll Mobilehome Park Meetings on the 4th Thursday are held at the Congregational Church of Soquel . Needs: We welcome contributions of completed quilts, fabric and supplies, especially fabric for backing. Backing requirements are 3 ½ yards for Camp Erin quilts and 2 ½ yards for lap quilts.
